Our products are designed and manufactured
to be worn for 10 years.
Naturally, T-shirts and other tops
are also made with the same concept.
However, there are some tricks
to keeping them fresh over time.
We would like to share some tips
on how to wear and care for them comfortably,
so you can continue using them for many years.
Please try these methods
to enjoy your garments for as long as possible.
1. Wear a black or dark gray T-shirt underneath.
There are two main reasons for this.
First, it prevents the back side of the embroidery from touching your skin.
The back of embroidery can feel scratchy or itchy against the skin.
Wearing an undershirt helps avoid this discomfort.
Second, it protects the garment from direct contact with skin oils.
When oils penetrate the fabric, it tends to weaken and deteriorate faster.
Oils are also difficult to fully wash out and can cause stains or yellowing over time.
You can choose any color for the undershirt,
but we recommend black or dark gray to avoid distracting from the design.
2. Avoid pulling the T-shirt by the neckline.
When taking off the T-shirt, avoid grabbing the collar.
Instead, pull from the hem (the bottom edge) and lift it up over your head, like a "hands up" motion.
In our experience, the most common reason T-shirts become unwearable
is not damage to the body, but stretching and distortion of the neckline.
3. Turn the T-shirt inside out before washing.
Leaving it right-side out during washing can cause embroidery threads
to catch on other clothes and unravel.
Turning it inside out helps protect the embroidery during the wash cycle.
4. Use a laundry net.
Using a laundry net prevents garments from getting stretched or tangled in the wash.
It also protects against damage, lint buildup, and pilling.
5. Dry it inside out.
After washing inside out, leave the T-shirt reversed when drying.
This prevents fading and sun damage caused by UV rays.
It also helps seams and fabrics dry faster when exposed to air.
6. Air dry naturally under the sun.
Some embroidery threads are sensitive to heat.
Using a tumble dryer can cause them to shrink or distort.
Air drying is the best way to maintain the quality of embroidery.
This method is also highly effective for other garments,
like expensive T-shirts, dress shirts, and skirts.
(Always follow the care instructions specific to each garment.)
